A comforting baked spaghetti casserole featuring a savory ground beef and spaghetti sauce mixture layered over pasta coated in a rich Alfredo sauce, then topped with mozzarella cheese and baked to perfection.
1. Cook pasta according to package directions.
2. In a large skillet, brown ground beef with chopped onion and bell pepper. Drain any excess grease. Season the beef mixture with 1-2 tbsp Britscookin Garlic & Herb seasoning. Stir in the 24oz jar of spaghetti sauce and simmer.
3. To make the alfredo sauce: In a separate saucepan, melt 1 stick of unsalted butter. Add 2 tbsp minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Pour in 2 cups heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in 1 cup shredded parmesan cheese and 1 cup shredded asiago cheese (or an additional cup of parmesan if substituting) until smooth and melted.
4. In a large casserole dish, combine the cooked pasta with the alfredo sauce, ensuring the pasta is evenly coated. Top the alfredo pasta with the prepared meat mixture. Sprinkle 8 oz shredded mozzarella cheese over the top.
5. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired before serving.
