Steak Alfredo! I had taken out some skirt steak and debated all day what to do with it… then I decided I was craving pasta, so this is what I came up with 🤍 You can use whatever kind of steak you like, but whatever you do — give this one a try! 🥩 ✨
1. Prepare steak: Pat steak dry and season generously with fresh cracked black pepper and garlic salt.
2. Sear steak: Heat avocado oil in a cast iron or enameled cast iron skillet until piping hot. You want a high heat oil here because the steak needs to cook on high to develop a nice crust! Sear the steak to your desired doneness, then remove to rest.
3. Make sauce: In the same skillet, add butter. As it melts, scrape up the browned bits and seasonings from the bottom of the pan, this adds tons of flavor to the sauce. Stir in garlic and cook until fragrant. Pour in heavy cream and whisk in Parmesan until smooth and creamy.
4. Cook pasta: Boil 1 lb of pasta in salted water until soft. Add pasta straight from the pot into the sauce, tossing to coat. Add pasta water as needed to loosen.
5. Season & finish: Stir in fresh parsley and Brit’s Cookin Garlic & Herb. Slice rested steak into strips or bite sized pieces and serve over pasta!
6. Pair with salad and breadsticks!
